Hi everyone, thank you for taking the time to visit my blog.
In the words of Beverley Callard (Liz McDonald, Coronation Street), I am a stick of dynamite and in the words of Dee Kelly (White Dee, Benefits Street) I am a pocket rocket.
I am an 80s baby, raised listening to Bros, when will I be famous – little did I know that on March 2018 I would be sitting on the big red sofa on BBC Breakfast chatting to Naga and Charlie.
A much eagerly awaited daughter, I was brought up in a house full of love, fun and laughter in an era where we didn’t take picutres of our evening meal to post on social media or where we weren’t afraid to answer the landline.
My career as a Legal Secretary was cut short after falling in love with a Prince Charming who turned out to be a right toad. I didn’t get my fairytale ending but I was made to feel like the ugly sisters and the only thing I had in common with Ciderella was being the cook, cleaner and servant.
I still haven’t had my fairytale ending but I’m having a wonderful journey, which hasn’t finished yet.
I fell in love with someone who thought they could break me.
I am turning my tragedy into triumphy and sharing the world the deadly dangers of domestic abuse.
The under reported reoccuring crime is misunderstood by so many as a romantic relationship. Victims not quite reaching their victory, blinded by a bully.
My blog aims to raise awareness of this vindictive vicious cycle.
